I was concerned about the recommendation to cook a product containing aspartame, which is a no-no, but this ad is old enough that Diet Dr Pepper used saccharin back then, which is OK to heat as long as you're willing to accept its rather strong aftertaste. youtube.com/watch?v=fb-58KobeF…

There was a video about this relatively recently by that guy who does historical meals, he said it just tasted like warm flat Dr Pepper? He couldn't understand why anyone would drink this.

Not sure what he did about the aspartame problem... 😬
