Apple once stood for consistent design, this is just ridiculous now. It pisses on every person who spent time of their life working on UI Design at #Apple.
But maybe I’m just incredibly ancient. Still this makes me fear for the future of that company.

Screenshot of MacOS Finder with rectangular corners of the screen and tons of corners of different radii plus overlapping Window Elements that make no sense at all. The best is the top left corner, where we have a negatively rounded hole because the bottom of the rectangular menubar meets the top left corner of the rounded window. I’d impossible to better describe this abomination.

@arnan The point is not the contrast, that's the builtin high contrast mode and it's even worse without turning off the transparency nonsense.
The point is the complete cacophony of radii and positions. There is no reason for excessively rounded window corners and excessively rounded panels, this is all nonsense, a broken design system. And look at the UI Elements teasing us through the transparent scrollbars sprinkled on top (?) !

What is this abomination? This is all WRONG!

A Finder Window with two directory columns on the right and the column with aliases and labels on the left. The Apple-Menu is covering a part of it. Everything is rounded and transparent, individually covering only parts of everything else, just so. Figuring out the Z in all of this is just slightly easier than translating a Trump speech. (Minus the fascism and murder of course.)

yes the buttons and ‘bits’ are very ugly. Even worse than it already was, all that borderless crap from the pas few years. 😉

My mom got her new Macbook 2 days ago. It came with Tahoe 😑 I now better understand your issue with the window elements. I already thought it looked ugly, but having to use it for an hour or two also reinforced my resolve to not upgrade to Tahoe anytime soon.
