Oregon state has had vote by mail for over two decades, and it works exceptionally well. Not only can I fill my ballot out at any hour of the day, with no line to stand in, but I also signed up for notifications so I get a text like this when my ballot it is sent, when it is received back, and when it is counted.

If you live in a state that doesn't have vote by mail, heavily lobby your state legislation to move to do it. It also prevents a lot of voter suppression!

Not to mention, you get like a paperback book that explains all the ballot measures with pros and cons from both sides, as well as detailed info on all candidates with your ballot.

Contrast that to dinosaur voting states like NY, where you can stand in line for hours outdoors in winter weather at the polling place only to find your party, the media and the government never gave you any proactive notice on some measures that are up for vote. #Democracy

Exactly. When we moved from New York to California, we were impressed to receive a voter guide ahead of the election. Makes it so easy to research who and what are on the ballot. P. S. We voted yesterday and dropped off our ballots. Just waiting for notification from BallotTrax.
