They found lots of carbon hydrogen and oxygen (organic) compounds, clays that are common in tectonic plate seams in the middle of Earth's oceans, and phosphates which are formed near seabed vents. This is evidence that bennu broke of from a larger 10km+ object or possibly even an icy moon or proto planet. Further evidence that organic compounds and water were common throughout most of the universe's life span.
