The notion that the UK is being too woke by stopping drilling in the #NorthSea and somehow depriving itself of useful resources and tax receipts is a #fossilfuel funded lie spread by Badenoch, Farage and Lowe.

I agree that additional drilling in the North Sea would be a bad idea both economically and environmentally, but as far as I can tell, Burnham has announced nothing of the sort - all we have at the moment is anonymous speculation that he *will* announce it at some unspecified point in the future.

Call it kite flying or preparing the ground…but his team have already extensively briefed the media that Burnham intends to announce that the UK will continue to drill in the North Sea.

Passively waiting for the words to come out of Burnham’s lips won’t make it any less likely to happen.
