FIFA's leadership has been so corrupt for so long, Trump fitted in absolutely perfectly with them.

@FediThing I live in hope that Infantino does the right thing and resigns so that the federations can elect someone to reform FIFA, but maybe I'm hoping for too much. 😞

If all else fails, I suppose UEFA has the option to become the de facto leading organization if they run their own #WorldCup every four years between the Euros.

Apparently CONCACAF is backing UEFA over this. That would cover most of the teams that make it to finals, and difficult to imagine a world cup without them.
