Here is a good MN link tree for mutual-aid #mn #iceout #mutualaid

(I didn't make this, it was on MR which is a very old NYC radio show and they tend to be good about such things.)

Thanks for thinking about us. I see El Burrito Mercado on the list. I live near El B and the family that owns it has always been very supportive of the community. When COVID hit this was the only place I went where they still had rice and flour - they were rationing it so everyone could get some instead of just making a pile of cash.

On their website it says to put giftcards@neighborhoodhousemn.org in the recipient email to donate a gift card. Neighborhood House is another very worthy organization here on the west side of Saint Paul.

Mexican people have been coming to this neighborhood from the time of the Mexican Revolution, when working in the local meat packing plants in a strange freezing land seemed a better option than the violence happening at home. It is soul crushing to see so many Mexican businesses closed and men guarding the parking lots of other businesses in what is probably a hopeless effort to keep ICE out should they show up.

A lot of families here are terrified to leave their house now so a donation like this can really help.
