Large, round water lily leaves can be seen floating on the surface of the water in the foreground and middle ground. Some of the leaves bear small yellow flowers that rise above the water. The stems of the plants are visible in the clear water and cast gentle shadows on the bottom of the pond. The colors are soothing and natural, with various shades of green and the soft blue of the water. The atmosphere is very peaceful.
