My wife and I are visiting #Pittsburgh next weekend. Anyone have recommendations for things to do, places to see, food to eat, etc.?

I don't have any specifics but I work in hospitality and I have heard nothing but good things about the Pittsburgh scene. Restaurants and breweries, attractions and whatnot. Hope you have a great time :-)

@avlcharlie Thanks! We'll definitely hit up Southern Tier. They make some of my favorite beers.

Do you like art? The Mattress Factory. Birds? They have an aviary. Relics? There is a church with the largest number of relics almost anywhere. And the food is great, but they have a tendency to put fries on salad.

@callan lol fries on salad eh? I'm not sure about that, but the rest of your suggestions sound good.

Phipps Conservatory! I’m not sure what the current featured exhibit is but the cactus room and the vegetable garden are favorites, and the Katsura might be changing color and starting to smell like caramel. Their cafe is usually solid too!

fwiw several recent threads with relevant suggestions are to be found on Reddit r/pittsburgh.

If you like Ketchup or Mr. Rogers, checkout the Heinz History Center.

I haven't been to it in 25 years, but I still remember every room of the Warhol museum. I'm not even a particularly big Warhol fan; it's just a great museum.
