Thanks for adding Ireland but don't know if Irish is best language for it? Most Irish people don't speak it?

Maybe have versions in Irish and English?

@FediThing oh, I thought almost all Irish people knew the Irish language. At least this has been the impression I had the last time I've been in Dublin.
Do you think I'd better use English?
in reply to Stefano Marinelli

I don't dare take a position on this as it would be a political can of worms 😁

But there have been documentaries like this about the topic:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_B%C3%…

I guess you're going to run into this even more with Switzerland?

EDIT: Maybe there could be multiple accounts for countries with several languages? Would this be feasible, or would it add a lot of complication to FediMeteo?

@FediThing having multiple accounts for multiple languages could be problematic, also because this would raise the number of the API calls to the open meteo endpoint, which is limited.
I'll think about it. I have the same problem for Switzerland, and the reason why it isn't there is that I couldn't decide which language to use there. After some comments from some Swiss users, I decided I'll use English.

Ah, the API situation does sound difficult, yes 😦

Whatever you decide, thank you so much for doing FediMeteo! It's brilliant! 🤩

@FediThing thank you! I'm glad people are appreciating FediMeteo, and I'll work to make it more complete. I'm going to add some more countries today

@Bruticus Yes, I'd like to, but I need some more time. I'll probably use another VPS (located in the USA) and include the American continent. I'm still evaluating if it's better to create a single "usa." instance or divide or by state.
in reply to Stefano Marinelli

Might be worth doing by state as there is such a high level of repetition of place names in the US? Americans usually include the name of a state when describing a city for this reason. (The disambiguation page for Miami is a good example: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miami_(d… )
