After seeing some #AI #privacy posts about #ChatGPT claiming to not be able to see your location, IP, or anything I decided to test it.

With no account or history, I asked it a few questions, and sure enough, it not only knows exactly where I am but is gaslighting me into thinking it was pure coincidence.

A friend followed the same instructions and got the same results in his location as well.

Yikes.

Another friend just tried it, not logged in, and had no account and again it was able to look up their location.
A chat window shows a conversation about checking the weather. The user asks for local weather info, and the app responds with current weather details.
