I ask because i use my actual syncthing, to sync photo and music to use locally on my phone, and would love if drive allow this too, so i can choce to give those 2 folders access to the rest of android app, while maintaining the other file only in drive.

Just a question (do not take it as horstile it's a genuin question), did you actually once thinked os hosting the video yourself that you share arround on social ? (via peertube or any other non US sharing plateform).
Again i ask by curiosity nothing more.
