I am a senior-level, licensed pediatric neuropsychologist and psychothisapist. I have over twenty-five years of professional experience, including faculty appointments in the University of Minnesota Medical School departments of Pediatrics and Neurology. I am board certified in Pediatric Neuropsychology and have accumulated many thousands of hours of professional experience serving children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of medical and psychological concerns, both as a diagnostician and treating psychologist. I have also trained scores of psychologists and am a recognized figure in my field. I have particular specialization in the assessment of children with rare genetic and metabolic disorders. The child’s family does not require involvement of child protective services. He has a congenital metabolic disorder that is documented in his medical records. He is in the care of a loving and supportive family and risks suffering grievous psychological (and possible physical) harm if he were removed from their care. I believe that this matter should be resolved urgently and that this child should receive relief from the order for removal to foster care. The child is a medical vulnerable child. I have reviewed his medical history and have confirmed parent report that he has a diagnosis of Vitamin B12 deficiency anemia due to selective vitamin B12 malabsorption with proteinuria (ICD-10 diagnostic code D51.1).
