Today South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has declared emergency martial law due to "anti-State" actors.

Who are the "anti-State"?

So far his order makes it clear, its any political party not aligned with President Yoon. He's closed down their National Assembly and wants direct control of all political media.

This appears to be a coup, not a legit emergency.

Soldiers were seen over night descending upon the National Assembly complex and photos have emerged of the heavily armed force occupying it's halls.

Outside crowds of law makers and aids demanded to be let in to conduct the people's business but met stiff resistance for local police.

All major political parties decry this undemocratic move by President Yoon including his own People Power Party.

This weeks surprise martial law decree comes on the heels of a widening political fallout from a stock manipulation scandal implicating the 1st lady herself.

Prosecutors refused to indict the first lady for her central role in the financial scheme. In response the South Korean Democratic party(which has a majority in the National Assembly) planned to begin impeachment procedures against these prosecutors starting this week.

As of one hour ago the martial law has been lifted and the military is obeying the act of the National Assembly.

The Korean politicians and their aids were not having it. Many confronted the soldiers immediately.
