Here's a question I feel a little nervous asking.

Epstein was a pedophile, a sex trafficker and a sex pest who had a wide network of fellow pedophiles and sex pests.

One of them is a man called Casey Wasserman who is the LA Olympics chief. The latest emails seem to suggest that he had sex with Ghislaine Maxwell, an adult.

Should the blast zone from Epstein only hurt proven pedos or should everyone in his orbit be damaged since we'll never know the full truth?

Well. Considering that the sentence "multi-millionaire with a private island that trafficks young girls to make them have sex with him and his friends" make my ears smolder and myself fume with anger, I would *like* to say that anyone who has ever sat foot on that island is complicit.

But. That would not be fair. And since I do think one should be fair, even in awful cases like this... we shouldn't judge people without knowing they had sex with a minor or someone trafficked.

So.

@meraord That's how I feel too. But I then remind myself that you can't get a full picture of what was going on from only his emails. Which makes me suspect that there was so much more that they didn't write down, and that men like this must have been involved too.

I know they say it's better to set 100 guilty men free than the convict a single innocent one, but...

@meraord

There is no 'but…', Blackstone's ratio, and Innocent unless proven guilty, are fundamental to good law.

How much time would you have had to spend with Esptein before it would be acceptable to find *you* guilty by association?

What if you just turned up to fix his computer network?

"Surely Mr Njoku must have seen incriminating stuff on the computers? Yet he said nothing. Guilty, Your Honour..."

@rq4c Exactly. I bet there are several high-end celebrities that he didn't *dare* to show what the young girls were actually there for. To keep his status in his world, he would have to make sure everything looked good on the surface.

Also, naturally there must have been other people present (like occasional visitors) that had no way to even find out what was going on behind the scenes.
