Absolutely loving this by Sarah Wynn-Williams. I thought I’d like it for the horror stories about the #facebook management but the writing and pacing is great!

I saw her speaking briefly at a thing with @pluralistic at The Barbican in London where she couldn’t say much because of a non disparagement clause in her Facebook contract!

If you want to know why spaces like this are so important read the book! Her description of #davos suddenly makes the world make a terrible kind of sense

oh man, when @pluralistic was here in #Portland, he mentioned that he and Sarah was going to do this: because she's legally not allowed to talk about or promote*her own book* he was going to do it for her while she stood and nodded silently.

That got a huge laugh of support, and I'm glad to hear from someone that saw this, so brilliant!

I've also been reading the book, actually putting Enshittification on hold (which I bought at the event) until I finish it. Such crazy!

@ktneely oh man, is she allowed to (in supposed descending disparaging order)
- nod vigorously
- smile knowingly
- smirk
- wink?

@abesibe this question is exactly why I'd have loved to see the presentation/talk. Because I assume the facial expressions are amazing!

@ktneely @abesibe it's going to be online soon, I'm not sure when but I will certainly link to it when it is

@abesibe @ktneely actually, all she was allowed to do was sit with a completely wooden face. It was quite a weird and amazing moment. I really look forward to the day where she is allowed to speak publicly!
