so do they like, seize the $200 flipper and accessories? That list of gear could collectively be well over the petty theft threshold.

are they kicking people out of the hotel for bringing these in their luggage? Or confiscating? What's the endgame?

I know this has been litigated to death in the past but this is just so dumb, performative and transparently CYA.

If these "searches" are non-intrusive, then what is the point? As if, for example, a Pineapple couldn't be run out of a backpack? Paper bag? Drawer? Where do they draw the line.

Also, what do they do if they find "objectionable" material and it's flagged by the Teams channel? Can they really, legally go around confiscating soldering irons?
