Today is a deep dive into my childhood.

My dad reading it to me, and me looking at the illustrations, are part of my dearest childhood memories.

I also had a very beloved teddy, which looked almost identical to the one on the cover.

Needless to say: I enjoyed it so much, reading the stories to my children at bedtime.

Take #Cinderella, for instance. IMO, the best Version still is Three Wishes for Cinderella (Tri orísky pro Popelku):

I agree with your praise for "Three wishes …". Nobody was ever better in children's movies/TV than the Czech.

I do give the 1950's Cinderella still a good mark. The drawings are great, and they stick quite to the story.

Agreed. However, the heartbreaking soul of the classic Czechoslovakian version, is lost in Florida.
