I use Akkoma, the user-friendly Fediverse service, which is completely compatible with Mastodon, Pleroma, Friendica etc, only soooo much better. All the features you ask/wish for in Mastodon already exist in Akkoma. https://akkoma.social

If anyone else has gone down the Nord theme rabbit hole I can recommend these icons if you’re on Linux. I wish there was a simple way to apply them to my Win 11 machine as well, but…no.
