We are sick and tired of hearing "where is Joe Rogan of the left? Why don't we have #progressive content on TikTok and Insta so Gen-Z can see it?"

We do. There's a ton of them. They reach hundreds to millions of people.

The real issue, is that social media algorithms promote what is popular. And what's popular is garbage. And conservatives are great at making garbage.

Until we crack down on biased algorithms, non-Conservative content will always be sidelined.

Look no further than who *owns & invests* in TikTok & Meta for the answer to the above. ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿง

After the 2016 election independent left media was algorithmically suppressed along with all non-corporate political channels. But the right could rely on deep pocketed funders to buy advertising to continue their growth. And the platforms bent their rules to favor the right.

@writermonki Itโ€™s also important to understand the sheer amount of dollars that the Right has spent developing and releasing semantically loaded, memetically designed linguistics. The right are absolute gods of semantic grammar. The left? The closest weโ€™ve ever gotten to the power of โ€œright to lifeโ€ was the hope and change campaign Obama ran.
The right understands the power of short verby verbs. The left tries to explain shit. The majority donโ€™t want shit explained, they want verbs. Action. Tell me what youโ€™re going to do. We have failed on messaging, no matter the platform.

@MissConstrue @writermonki We argue "Were not going back" was a great slogan so of course it wasn't the official one and was made by accident.

@MissConstrue

The independent left was doing just fine before the suppression, too well. We overcame the MSM blackout of the Sander's campaign and pushed him within striking distance of the nomination. We got "The Squad" elected to congress against the odds. That got the attention of the powerful, and under the guise of Russiagate, they shut us down. To this day, my simple political comments on YouTube routinely vanish. No messaging is effective when it can't reach an audience.

It's not a matter of conservatives or not, garbage comes from pretty much everywhere nowadays.

The underlying issue is that most garbage is designed to hijack popularity and rot the brains of millions. Never in human history has this been easier than today, and it's all thanks to TikTok & friends.

@paguro And again, if you look at the biases of where the garbage is coming from, it's really obvious that conservatives have figured out how to exploit how algorithms boost things in order to gain ground as well as influence it so that their oppositions never get into the algorithm.
