The South remains solidly racist, and now… #SCOTUS has given them the OK to completely eliminate Black representation - so they’re doing just that. The #Trump administration has fired or demoted Black generals - as Trump notoriously doesn’t ever want to stand next to a Black American at a military event. The #TrumpRegime has declared war on #DEI and is moving to disenfranchise Black voters. And still, there are some conservative, Black #Republicans who support this racist administration, even a Black senator. Go figure🤔 #racism #BLM
That's the opposite of what the Supreme Court said.
Yes, a lot of people get this backwards, and it's worth emphasizing that a lot of politicians are looking to score political points by jumping on this bandwagon regardless of what the courts actually said.
But in the end SCOTUS recognized protected classes defined by law and said they must be afforded representation. Any state eliminating such representation is violating the law and the SCOTUS ruling can be used to go after them.
