in reply to petersuber • • •They didn’t break RSA, they factored a 22-bit RSA number. To put it into perspective, RSA100 (330 bits) was factored via traditional means in 1991.
(For more perspective, current keys are usually 2048/4096 bits.)
Hugely misleading headline.
