Ever wondered, "can the government read my text messages?" We break down the answer in our new site, Digital Rights Bytes: digitalrightsbytes.org/topics/…
This site compares secure messaging apps from a security & privacy point of view. These include Facebook Messenger, iMessage, Skype, Signal, Simplex, Google Messenger, Threema, Riot, Wire, Telegram, and Wickr
Many people talk about the Signal app with its encryption. That is still vulnerable in my opinion. We at MPAQ host an XMPP server with encryption. A decentralized network like ActivityPub. This way, you don't depend on one service and it's harder for "them" to get your messages because it is decentralized AND encrypted.
I stopped trusting anything ran by a corporation when I read Edward Snowden's book.
