So. TL;DR on #Chatcontrol in the council today. No vote. So 2022/0155(COD) stays in Zombie mode and is pushed to th incoming council presidency of Poland. It remains to be seen if they bring it up again in the first 6 months of 2025. In the council the countries that would vote at leat ABSTAIN declared why. That is all that happened. Are they delaying it due to disagreements, or is there likely to be a decisive vote one way or the other soon?

@FediThing A vote will only be tabled if it is a clear yes. Or if the council decides it's simply not worth it anymore and the current compromise proposal cannot be saved. This has more or less been the situation for the past two years and the compromise proposal has only become more complex and weird.

@FediThing The council can decide at any time to kill the whole procedure. Would just need an A-item (so an agenda item with no discussion) on any upcoming council meeting.
