A downside of fediverse (at the moment) is the wrongly displayed amount of likes/shares (boosts) of a post.

When you want to double check it, click the three dots underneath the post and select 'open in original page'.

It can result in a post showing for example '3 boosts' on your instance into '280 boosts' on the original page.

This could actually be simplified to a "click the sync button" now. Mastodon publishes the like/share counts through ActivityPub.

Maybe, jonny can add it to the fetchallreplies code.
