If you know someone who wants to sign up on Mastodon and the Fediverse, you might want to suggest they use this site:

It's formatted to make it as easy as possible to sign up on a good reliable server.

If someone finds choice overwhelming, there is a suggested good general server (which changes regularly).

If someone appreciates choice, there is a server directory with over 100 good servers organised into categories.

p.s. I know a lot of people have seen fedi.garden in its previous versions, but its flow is now totally different. It has a minimalist starting page designed specifically for non-techy people who just want to get started as easily as possible. Please do give it a try, it could be useful in getting your friends to join this place 🙂
