This is kinda huge.
Post-Trump election, Albanese govt suddenly breaks ranks with the US and votes for two separate initiatives at the UN recognising Palestinian sovereignty, the sort of stuff that previously would have been opposed or abstained on.
It's a signal - and a very strong one - that it is not business as usual between the current elected government of Australia and the incoming US administration.
