Putin was the aggressor, his invasion was totally unprovoked and unnecessary. It's comparable to Hitler's attack on Poland.

If he is given concessions when he invades places, he will invade more places. He had already agreed not to invade Ukraine, then he invaded Crimea, then more of Ukraine, why would he stop if he doesn't feel any pain for these actions?
