The publisher for the Washington Post says the storied paper will not endorse a candidate for president for the first time in 36 years, and that it does not intend to endorse candidates in future races. The move has prompted outcry from employees of the Post, including its former Executive Editor Martin Baron, as well as others in the media industry. โThis is cowardice, a moment of darkness that will leave democracy as a casualty,โ Baron tells @npr. Whatever credit the Washington Post gets for investigating Watergate, things like this are wiping it out. Maybe Bezos doesn't care.
