Oh, does mixed-handed mean uses right for some purposes and left for others?

correct!

A mixed handed (or cross-dominance) person will heavily favour one hand over the other, like a left or right handed person, but which hand will vary based on the task.

ie. i eat with my left and write with my right. i cannot flip that around and eat with my right or write with my left, it's gonna be a mess.
