A few days ago I installed the snow addon developed by @rolle and I'm really enjoying it! It gave me the cozy winter vibes that I was missing last week due to the lack of snow in southern Germany. ❄️

This gave me another idea: Why not use it for a confetti effect to celebrate something? For example, why not celebrate the day a user joined the instance each year? 🎊

Most of the code was written by @rolle, I only had to make minor changes. The confetti only appears when you are logged in, and I tried to keep it as unobtrusive as possible. It is also turned off when the reduced motion setting is used:

Let it snow! ❄️

I have added snow to my instance during the winter holidays. It's a tiny JS canvas and fades out on scroll down. The snow is also respecting the system accessibility settings, it won't be there if you prefer reduced motion.
