President Volodymyr #Zelensky addressed #Ukraine Friday as he considers how to respond to a #US “peace” proposal to end #Russia’s #war with his country.
“This is one of the most difficult moments in our history,”Zelensky said in a video. “Currently, the pressure on Ukraine is one of the hardest. Ukraine may now face a very difficult choice, either losing its dignity or the risk of losing a key partner.”

Now they are being asked to give up their armed forces and territory in exchange for peace. Then Russia will invade them again.
It will carry on like this until someone stops Putin, he is not to be trusted.

in reply to FediThing • • •How did Ukraine "surrender their nuclear weapons to Rússia" ??!!?? Those nuclear weapons never belonged to Ukraine, it was USSR weapons, never Ukraine's. Rewriting history only serves neo nazi propaganda.
Losing territory and independence that's what happens when someone only defend USA/NATO interests.

It would be the equivalent of Scotland inheriting part of the UK nuclear arsenal if they became independent.
This was specifically stated in the agreement: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest…
sovereign state (1919–1922) and a republic of the Soviet Union (1922–1991); one of the founding members of the UN in 1945

A few years ago, 4 or 5 years, Ukraine was refered to as a nazi regime growing in Europe and a great danger to that Europe, the most corrupt regime in the continent, now they are "freedom fighters heroes" when in fact it is a neo nazi regime seeking WW3 under Zelensky lead!!!
Nuclear weapons belong to Moscow.

in reply to Rui Carneiro 🇵🇸🇱🇧 • • •Are you genuinely claiming that Ukraine was not part of the USSR?
You expect anyone to take your views on Soviet history seriously when you're denying such a basic fact?
Where do you think Chornobyl is?
"Nuclear weapons belong to Moscow."
No, they belonged to the entire USSR.

in reply to FediThing • • •Ukraine wanted independence and you believe that Moscow should let them keep the nuclear warheads, maybe to attack Russia??? Zelensky loves Netanyahu, like him he is a fanatic who have no problems with the world burning since Rússia is destroyed...I can only, or not, imagine if the CIA/ USA/NATO puppet, Zelensky, had nukes...we won't be having this conversation...

in reply to Rui Carneiro 🇵🇸🇱🇧 • • •"Moscow should let them keep the nuclear warheads"
The warheads didn't belong to Russia or Moscow, they belonged to the USSR. Their ownership was split between all the constituent countries of the USSR.
It's like the USA's warheads don't belong to Washington DC, they belong to all the US states.
If you don't know the difference between Russia and the USSR then once again I'd say you have no business commenting on Soviet history.

Make no sense arguing with people with colonized brains by propaganda, like you.
You know nothing about history, CNN lessons don't work, it is not history it's propaganda...I'm sure if we were talking about Bielorussia you'd say "they have no right to nukes"...nevermind...Ukraine don't have, never will and fortunatelly don't have nukes.

Are you still claiming Ukraine wasn't part of the USSR?
Are you still claiming Russia and the USSR are the same thing?
Are you still claiming Moscow and Russia are the same thing?
These are simple questions, it's very easy to check the answers to these.

The USSR includes Ukraine, it was a unified country called the USSR.
Of course one could take the view that actually the USSR was simply a continuation of the Russian Empire, and wasn't really a socialist union.
So, it sounds like you're saying the USSR was actually an imperialist state, where only Russia was actually in charge?
What was the USSR, empire or union?
"If Texas suddenly was independent..."
If the USA ceases to exist (which is what happened to the USSR), who are you saying does get to keep the nukes? California? Massachusetts?
Rui Carneiro 🇵🇸🇱🇧
in reply to FediThing • • •Concerning USA it's easy to know who would keep the nukes...the rich oligarchs, as it is now since USA is a corrupt oligarchy.
FediThing
in reply to Rui Carneiro 🇵🇸🇱🇧 • • •Which US state would keep them? Why that state and not others?
Also, you didn't mention oligarchs in Russia though they dominated Russia in the 1990s when the agreements over nukes were signed (and still dominate Russia today).

Who keeps the designation? On what basis? The country no longer exists.
