The fact that some people who loathe Musk/Trump still find it difficult to leave Twitter/X shows the danger of signing up on a centralised platform where the network is controlled by one person or org. You are chaining yourself to a network with no idea who it may be sold to in the future, and every follower you get on that network reinforces those chains.

Whatever you choose online, please choose something with an escape option that doesn't involve losing your follows/followers. 🙏
