Chat control: what is in our politicians head?
I just watched the EU parliament plenary and they just voted in favor of Chat Control.
I can't understand what's going on in their head. The last speaker before the vote had very good points.
I think we should now verify who voted in favor and have all their communications be public from now on.
Edit: name and shame below.

Private texts? Donations? Stocks? Ok, all of that is confiscated and published.

in reply to Alfredolin • • •Democracy is farcical if the so-called will of the people [parliament] is subverted by the actions of a minority using 'procedure' tricks.
This is another of the many of examples that show authority is corrupt.

politicians are simply just paid to do their jobs of catering to said elites. they are only really meaningful for the theater of it.

And it shows. The left and the greens have voted with consistency against. Just to many no-shows to make a difference, however there were no-shows from both sides.
But, the slight left, soc-dems, or however they are called, and center, has, with very little exceptions (which I salute), exclusively voted for it. And this is not according to my understanding of the guidelines but I suppose this is subject to interpretations.
