I wrote a small plugin to include code and outputs from #Jupyter notebooks in @eleventy sites. If this is something you might need, feel free to try it out and let me know how it goes.

#Pack11ty now uses @eleventy v3
Also, the code has been fully rewritten to integrate modern JavaScript features like ECMAScript Modules (aka #ESM), just like #Eleventy.
Both the plugin and the template repository (aka Eleventy Starter) have been updated.
Also, the assets are now processed with a combination of Eleventy's Custom template languages, Render plugin and Bundle plugin. 😍
The documentation will soon be updated accordingly.

Pack11ty now uses Eleventy v3 — Pack11ty
Big Pack11ty update with Eleventy v3 and modernized code base!Pack11ty
One of the things I’m working on while doing the #30DayMapChallenge is creating a portfolio site for the maps I create. It’s pretty hard explaining everything when you’re constrained by a 500-character limit, and this provides me with the space to expound on my mapmaking process.
Also, I took this opportunity to finally play around with @eleventy as a static-site generator, something that I mentioned last month: en.osm.town/@seav/113322416132…

I’m planning to create my first @eleventy@fosstodon.org site soon and I’m already wondering which template language to use. Given that #Eleventy supports several formats, there’s a minor #ParadoxOfChoice at play here.OSM Town | Mapstodon for OpenStreetMap
I wrote about how I teach #Eleventy from scratch to my friends.
This 6 step workshop covers the basic fundamentals of Eleventy in a way that helps understand what happens if you then decide to start with a starter kit.

How I teach Eleventy from scratch
I love how in Eleventy, you can build a site step-by-step and at each small step, have a functional website. In this post, I describe a workshop structure I’ve used lately to teach a few of my friends how to build a static site with Eleventy.Juha-Matti Santala
Published a major refactor of my blog, now running Eleventy 3.0, dropped SCSS (finally) for a pure CSS solution with only PostCSS for some bundling and rewrote my layout using a nifty grid that makes my many different image widths that break out of the layout much much easier.
Pretty happy with it
When is a personal site redesign not really a redesign, but an opportunity to futz?
📢 If your blog is #BuiltWith11ty and you use a classic `/yyyy/mm/dd/title` URL structure, I have a new blog post for you: #Eleventy (#11ty) year, year-month, and year-month-day indexes: blog.tomayac.com/2024/11/02/el…. Who doesn't like hackable 🪓 URLs?
`/yyyy/mm/dd/title`
`/yyyy/mm/dd/`
`/yyyy/mm/`
`/yyyy/`
Thanks to @zachleat for @eleventy and the ecosystem like the image plugin around it!

Fixed a long-standing color contrast problem on my website 🎉
Been using (h/t @KiwiKilian) remark-shiki-twoslash as an @eleventy v3 replacement for eleventy-plugin-shiki-twoslash to highlight syntax in Markdown code blocks.
But it's stuck on an old Shiki version with no accessible themes. So I forked it!
@olets/eleventy-plugin-shiki-twoslash has high contrast themes and supports Eleventy 3. (CJS->ESM side quest: createRequire)

Definitely will be experimenting more with this setup!
