Alsoβand I really donβt want to sound like a BlueskyBro hereβis there any software that implements custom timelines in the Fediverse, such as the super cool ones Bluesky has?
It would be super cool if lists could be made not only of profiles, but also of hashtags and keywords, ideally even having custom algorithms, too!

I had dozens of accounts with notifications activated, and it was definitely becoming too much, so I am starting to use lists, finally!
I see that there are not many resources about this feature around the web, thoughβ¦
Any suggestions/tips/useful links?

Good point. Mastodon's Lists feature could evolve by including two options:
- Lists are currently private. There should be an option to make them public / sharable via a URL.
- Everyone should get an opt-in option in their Privacy settings to say "Allow my profile to be listed on Public lists"
That way it doesn't break the existing list functionality, but also allows people to not be included to lists that can be shared.
Of course, there is already a very active thread on Public / Sharable lists on the Mastodon GitHub:

Yes. But we don't need to call them "starter packs" - they're just public lists.
Twitter had that too, you could see 1) which lists you're on and 2) which lists someone is following (as long as they were public) and you could follow them. Great feature that is unfortunately absent on #Mastodon simply because the lists are private.
