@HannahCelsius I'm on my way there now. It may not be open (20:33) but this huge city stays up late so maybe. This is the time that I'm awake & it's easier to get around at night. If I have a great time it's thanks to you. At worst I'm having a nice bus tour & caught a glimpse of an outdoor dance party!
Traveling solo, even a day spent in a big city might have very few direct interactions with others. The one that I'll cherish today occurred on the metro. I had sipped from a water bottle & I was using a bag within a bag system. Interior nylon bag, loose & expandable for potential purchases; & at that point I was using it to separate food & drink from the dry contents of the leather messenger bag. The woman nearest to me, stylishly dressed, saw me fighting to hold my bag open while using my hands to pack the bag. She simply reached one hand over, never touching the bag interior just holding its outside edge to keep it wide mouthed for me. Smiles & very few words spoken. Ahhh.
She later repositioned herself & she's the white clad arm & leg peeking out from behind the plastic divider. Thank you, thoughtful stranger!
