The #WashingtonPost has been rocked by a tidal wave of cancellations of digital #subscriptions & a series of #resignations from columnists, as the paper grapples w/the fallout of owner #Bezos’s decision to block an #endorsement of #KamalaHarris.

The publisher for the Washington Post says the storied paper will not endorse a candidate for president for the first time in 36 years, and that it does not intend to endorse candidates in future races. The move has prompted outcry from employees of the Post, including its former Executive Editor Martin Baron, as well as others in the media industry. “This is cowardice, a moment of darkness that will leave democracy as a casualty,” Baron tells @npr.
