People, I have an urge to write a blog.

It's not going to be commercial, and won't be fancy. I'd want to post text, with the odd pic and video (or embedded link to a video).
The content would be mostly aimed towards high school teachers.

I'm wondering if those of you with experience can recommend a platform - I already own (ha, rent) a domain, but don't have a host.
I'm looking for something that isn't (overly) under the influence of billionaire techbros, that is findable via internet search,* and has an intelligent UI and a decent UX. Or close to that. (

* To those that are thinking, "Duh?", I'd point out that Bing search results, including those generated by DuckDuckGo, don't show PeerTube videos...

I'd appreciate your opinions 😊

My unscientific #AI test question:
How can #teaching be tailored to student learning styles?
Only Claude gives a correct, critical answer:
* Gemini g.co/gemini/share/10d121293154
* OpenScholar openscholar.allen.ai/query/315…
* ChatGPT chatgpt.com/share/e/6741bb7b-0…
* Claude: "The concept of distinct "learning styles" (e.g., visual, auditory, kinesthetic) actually isn't well-supported by research evidence, despite its widespread popularity in education..."

Coming soon… Streamiverse.

A curated streaming fediverse post API compatible with the Mastodon API for use in teaching, demos, presenting, etc. Basically, if you were using the Mastodon public timeline API for these use cases before it started to require authentication, this will be a good alternative :)

If you have suggestions for the curated feed, reply to this with links to posts.

The paradox of inclusive assessment tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…
"(1) Whereas assessment aims to reduce human diversity to hierarchies and categories, inclusive education seeks to move beyond such sorting systems; (2) whereas assessment relies on uniformity, inclusion builds on diversity; (3) whereas assessment is grounded in individualism, inclusion grows from interdependence" #assessment #eddev #equity #teaching #inclusive
