Remember the 1990s when you had VHS tape ready to record if MTV ran a really good music video.

Sound quality was close to CD quality if your equipment supported NICAM or probably the first digital audio codec that saw widespread adoption and was carried in the excess scanlines of NTSC and PAL.

Happily, #Paramount's attempt to take down its own #MTV archive was unsuccessful. Most of it had already been captured by the @internetarchive's #WaybackMachine.
