Streetartwall. On the outside wall of a four-storey building, a beautiful mural of a woman surrounded by flowers and animals has been painted in a naive style. The mural is painted in bright colors and shows the face of a young woman with closed eyes. She is wearing a turban as a headdress on which fruit is draped. She is surrounded by a jungle of green ferns and butterflies. Hummingbirds buzz through the picture and the head of an orange jaguar appears next to her in the jungle.
Info: The Theme was "Colombia". The artist wanted to represent freedom and coexistence by using some elements such as endemic species from Colombia like the jaguar, hummingbirds or butterflies. The female figure of Palanquera comes from a village called San Basilio de Palenque, the first slave-free village in Colombia.
