Revolutionary defeatism is about calling for the defeat of "your own" side, since you know its not "yours", but of the bourgeoisie, the ruling class. We call for the defeat of our tyrants, and expect the internationalist proletarians on the other side do the same.

But the core of this stance is denouncing capitalism as a whole as the benefactor and instigator of wars. Capitalism's need for ever increasing profit WILL pit them in battle against their competitors.

Same goes with colonialism. The needs of capitalism will push it to constantly exploit and plunder those countries that are less industrialized (and therefore have less chance to defend themselves). We need to denounce the colonial wars as an intrinsic need of capitalism. And underline that no "national liberation" will be fully realized until the Imperialist centers, the Metropoli, has fallen. That colonialism will continue as long as Capitalism does.
