A person is talking about their crochet pet peeves in a post (not on Mastodon.)

They mentioned crochet hooks that have seams.

My general rule is: if it looks uncomfortable, it is.
If it's a plastic hook with a huge seam on it or sharp bits... it will likely hurt. Ditto for knitting needles.

If you're new to knitting/crochet, try a friend's needles or hooks. Go to a local yarn store, they might have tester hooks.
Michaels & Joanns will not.

I haven’t done a #crochet project in years. Usually I’m into #knitting though I learned crochet first. But I just finished this throw, worked up super fast in a bulky yarn. The pattern is the Colorado throw, only change is instead of two rows single crochet on the sides I did a row of single crochet then a row of crab stitch

Setting out all the random Halloween decorations we made a couple years ago, ready for tomorrow's annual Spooktacular.

Because sometimes kid's crafts are the best tool for the job!

Not pictured: More cardboard cutouts in the other lamp, and a load of very simple origami bats stuck to the doorframe 🦇
