*le sigh*

Got involved in a discussion where a prominent dev argues to make the adoption of cryptographic validation easier by giving up on trust anchors.

On my way back from #IETF121 I talked to another attendee who turned out to be Google's Head of Cryptography, Sophie Schmieg. At one point she said the reason cryptographers turned up at IETF is because protocol designers keep making basic mistakes.

DINRG at #IETF121 made me feel a little bad, but also very good, in ways I didn't expect.

First off, it's how I got there. Dirk Kutscher saw a previous talk I gave at #FOSDEM and asked me to repeat it there. So with a bunch of tweaking, I did.

I've been bad at promoting this beforehand, but I'll be presenting the Interpeer architecture (in brief) in the Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networking (dtn) room at #IETF121 this morning:

Yes, it’s #IETFHackathon time again at #IETF121! We’ve got nearly 50 projects (last count) and a room full of enthusiastic participants. For an overview of all the projects, check out the wiki: wiki.ietf.org/en/meeting/121/h…. And of course, no hackathon is complete without coffee (a must!) and cookies!
