Nach jedem größeren #Kriminalfall oder #Terrorakt kommt von Politikern reflexartig die Forderung nach mehr #Überwachung und #Datensammlung. Mehr Videokameras, #Biometrie, KI, Chatverläufe, #Vorratsdaten. Technische Unmöglichkeiten werden dabei ebenso ignoriert wie Unvereinbarkeit mit Grundgesetz, Menschenrechten oder völkerrechtlichen Verträgen.
Als ITler warne ich seit 25 Jahren gebetsmühlenartig vor diesen Datensammlungen. Abgesehen von der sehr reale Gefahr, dass die Daten abhanden kommen: wenn sie einmal da sind, wecken sie Begehrlichkeiten.

Die USA erpressen gerade die EU. Was sie nur können, weil die EU unbedingt biometrische Ausweise einführen musste.
Jetzt will #Faeser diese und andere Daten zusammenführen, KIs damit trainieren und anlasslos #Bewegungsprofile erstellen.
Es gibt keinen Grund, anzunehmen, dass diese Daten nicht genauso abhanden kommen oder weitergereicht und missbraucht werden. Das ist gefährlicher Sicherheitsbudenzauber, wir sollten das dringend lassen!
Die EU-Kommission arbeitet an einem Machbarkeitsnachweis für die von den USA geforderten systematischen Transfers etwa von Fingerabdrücken zum Grenzschutz.
