@HurricaneWeasel joined the #Fedilab account at @apps. You might already know him, he's the same person managing issues on #Codeberg.
His help with the account will be really valuable to me. The idea is to better handle issues reported on the #Fediverse and in our repo.

I co-proposed/wrote the #Codeberg vibe-coding ban and all I got was a lot of haters in my mentions.

And a nearly 70% approval rate, with one of the highest voter turnouts the association had afaik (and one that's comparable to the last EU elections). 😎

Hey, everybody? I get that it's frustrating when Codeberg is down. But please remember that it's a community project, and that the expectation of "everything is up 100% of the time" was created by exactly those tech companies that were killing off communities for the past 20 years. 100% uptime was never true before Facebook/Google/etc. came around, not even close.

And it's even more difficult to keep things up nowadays; there is *so much more* malicious traffic coming from the internet now than back then, especially since the rise of LLM scrapers.

So if you want Codeberg to be down less often, might I suggest reaching out to them about volunteering instead? Not right now, because they're probably pretty busy getting things back up, but once things have been stabilized a bit. Then you yourself can help improve the uptime!

The #HolosSocial relay is now ready for an official prod release. Users might have noticed better responsiveness from it.

The app is already available on #AltStore for iOS, and will be on the #PALStore. It is available with the apk, ipa and all the desktop files on the website and #Codeberg. It is also on #FDroid, but releases are stuck on 1.8.1, which I will fix.

Publishing on the big stores like Google Play or the App Store is not my goal.
