As Mark Elliott argues the demand for the UK to leave the European Convention on Human Rights, is not about human rights, but rather a Trojan Horse for those wanting to radically change the balance between any residual rights peoples may have & the state's ability to act with impunity;

those seeking to exit the ECHR are interested in maximising their ability to act as they want in power!

While not surprising, its a worrying political strategy!
