How can higher ed make democracy better?

A Kennedy School panel of specialists on public policy and civic engagement says it’s a combination of knowledge — and skills.

The publisher for the Washington Post says the storied paper will not endorse a candidate for president for the first time in 36 years, and that it does not intend to endorse candidates in future races. The move has prompted outcry from employees of the Post, including its former Executive Editor Martin Baron, as well as others in the media industry. “This is cowardice, a moment of darkness that will leave democracy as a casualty,” Baron tells @npr.
