For #FungiFriday I wanted to post these False Parasol #mushrooms growing in the landscaping mulch at my local grocery store in #BatonRouge #Louisiana. These are reportedly poisonous, but are rather pretty.
Three large white mushroom caps rise above some dark brown mulch. A few dried cypress needles are seem on the mulch.
The same three mushrooms seen from the side at ground level. Their gills and brownish stems can be seen. In the background one can see a tree trunk and the foliage of another tree.
