Trying to convince myself that I shouldn't buy Excavation Earth (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/292126/excavation-earth) as I have way to many unplayed games as it is. But it sound so much fun and the theme is chefs-kiss!

Sligthly obsessed by the Earth boardgame (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/350184), been trying it out at BGA and finds it extremely intriguing and thematically engrossing.
It is sailing high up on the must-buy list, but I have seen that the Kickstarter version have had production quality problems. So I hope for a second printing for the stores (and I hope there will be a retailer version).

(And of course my brain have started to reskin and hack).

Chess Set for the blind and partially sighted.

A chess set where the pieces are all cubes and the movement of the pieces is marked on each side so that blind and partially sighted people can feel which piece it is. Also, the white pieces are made of metal and the black pieces are made of wood so that the warmth and hardness of the material gives clues to which side the piece is on.

Designed and developed by Bookhouse Games: https://bookhouse.uk/shop/board-games/chess-set-for-the-blind-and-visually-impaired/

Couple playing a game. One player had thought out an entire strategy for the last round of the game but the other player harvests the needed resources so the plan is gone. The player says they won't hold a grudge and that is how games work but in the last panel we see the couple forty years later and it's time for revenge...

I played a few games of the ridiculously pretty Codex Naturalis, a meditative tile-laying puzzle.

I printed the official solo rules from #BGG. The bot player was easy to manage and made for a fast paced game: part way through the bot starts racking up points, forcing you to find ways to keep up.

There’s lots of replayability thanks to varied scoring objectives, plus the variability of how the cards come out each time you draw. A really neat game.

A very delicate situation on the board in turn 6, just before Redeployments. Feyd-Rautha’s Soviet infantry are valiantly defending Minas Tirith from Bourbon-Mordor and Max Emmanuel. Marlborough’s relief phalanxes are delayed in Rohan, quashing unrest. Nazgûl causing trouble in south Gondor. While Ivar & Halfdan’s Mk3 OGRE tank won a famous victory against a Soviet ambush, American ships are now threatening the Witch-King’s meager umbar fleet. Very exciting game. #boardgames #wargames #fun #trrpg

There aren’t many games as satisfying (in my view) as Hadrian’s Wall.

My games start slowly, as I eke out each turn with the workers and resources I have. Then the game hits a tipping point and my turns descend into a cascade of combos where I’m placing one worker here, to cross off something over there, which gives me an attribute over here, which gives me a worker, which I place over there…

I still haven’t got my scores high enough to try the solo campaign, but I’ll keep trying.

@lategamer Enjoy, in my opinion, #OspreyGames has some neat #boardgames and #ttrpg. Right now, I‘m digging #HeirstoHeresy, a #ttrpg about the fall of the #knighttemplars. It‘s certainly not perfect, I like the basic concept and some ideas. As far as I know, there is nothing we couldn’t with some #houserules.
